I think, however, longer forms of writing, express more consistency by the very nature of the aggregation of the experiences and moods in the time they take to write.
That is a good point, though you can occasionally spot dramatic ruptures in style at certain points in a novel. One chapter ends and then, after the author seemingly takes a long holiday, the next chapter begins with a different author. Thank you for the comment.
